Salzgitter expects loss due to cartel fine
Germany’s Salzgitter AG is expecting a pre-tax loss in financial year 2019, mainly attributable to risk provision for a cartel penalty that is likely to be imposed this year. In line with the forecast to date, the group’s earnings before taxes from regular operations is expected to be between €125-175 million ($137-191m).
