Salzgitter begins furnace reline
Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, has begun a reline and modernisation of its blast furnace B, Kallanish hears from the company.
Built in 1993, the furnace has now ended its second campaign life after eleven and a half years of service. Since its last reline in 2004, it has produced 21 million tonnes of pig iron.
