Salzgitter contracts Tenova for pilot DRI plant
Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, the strip steel unit of Salzgitter group, has commissioned Tenova for the construction of a demonstration plant for the production of direct reduced iron (DRI).
The plant figures under the project name µDRAL, and will run on up to 100% hydrogen as reducing agent, using Tenova’s proprietary Energiron technology, Kallanish learns from the plantbuilder.
