Sail’s RSP output rises, dispatches API-grade pipe
Steel Authority of India (Sail) unit Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP)’s crude steel production grew 17% on-quarter to 1.05 million tonnes in the fiscal quarter ended 30 September, against 0.9mt a quarter earlier.
The company’s hot metal production rose 15% to 1.13mt in the September quarter, against 0.98mt in the June quarter, Kallanish notes. Saleable steel production grew 11% to 0.93mt. RSP produced 333,081t of crude steel in September alone.
