Sabic propels Mid-East steel output surge in November
Crude steel production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report surged 44% on-year in November to 2.56 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from worldsteel.
The standout performance in November came from Saudi Arabia’s largest steelmaker, Sabic, which saw crude steel output balloon 502% on-year to 496,000t. This was, however, from an uncharacteristically low base in November 2015.
