Saarstahl invests in bright bar production
Saarstahl has begun construction in a project to expand annealing capacity at its subsidiary Saar-Blankstahl in Homburg, Kallanish learns from the company.
With the move, Saarstahl is responding to an expected increase in worldwide demand for heat-treated bar material and to demand for higher-quality steels, which it says also play an important role in electric mobility. The company is investing €17 million ($19m) in this project.
