Russia’s stainless steel consumption decreases in 2022
Russia’s real consumption of stainless steel decreased in 2022, according to national special steel association USSA.
It amounted to 515,550 tonnes, down by 13% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Consumption of hot rolled flats last year increased by 14.5%, welded pipe by 0.3% and seamless pipe by 42.2%.
However, consumption of stainless cold rolled flat steel decreased by 26.5%, of long products by 9.5%, wire by 4.5% and billet by 37.1%.
