Russia’s Sibanthracite increases coking coal exports to China
Russian coal producer Sibanthracite Group shipped 160,000 tonnes of metallurgical coal from the port of Taman to Asia-Pacific region (APR) customers, primarily from China. The coal was shipped on a Capesize class bulk carrier, the company says.
This is the first time Sibanthracite has exported coal using such a large capacity vessel, and it will continue to utilise these ships to supply countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, the enterprise comments.
