Russia’s September stainless steel imports decrease significantly
Russian imports of stainless steel decreased in January-September amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, says national special steel association USSA.
Russia’s stainless intake in the first nine months of the year amounted to 259,430 tonnes, down by 3.8% on-year, Kallanish notes. In September alone, stainless imports amounted to 18,230t, down by 40.4% compared to August and less by 54.4% on-year.
