New owner restarts Hyundai’s former Russia plant
Hyundai’s former Russian plant in St. Petersburg, which suspended production of cars in March 2022 due to difficulties with the supply of components, resumed operations on Tuesday, Kallanish notes.
According to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus, the company is currently training personnel and servicing equipment. The plant employs 800 workers and is operating on one shift.
