Russia’s first-half stainless steel consumption ramps up
Russia’s real consumption of stainless steel increased in the first half of the year, according to national special steel association USSA.
It amounted to 282,110 tonnes, up by 3.2% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Consumption of hot rolled flats in January-June increased by 57.1% on-year, welded pipe by 13.5% and seamless pipe by 2.2%.
