Russian ferrous exports increase before new taxes, duties
Russian ferrous exports increased in January-October, according to national customs data monitored by Kallanish.
Shipments abroad of ferrous products under HS code chapter 72 were almost 37.2 million tonnes, up by 12.9% on-year. This is a slowdown from January-September growth of 14.4% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
Exports of ferrous products under chapter 72 but excluding pig iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap amounted to 26.4mt over the ten months, up 19.7%.
