Russia’s February stainless imports decrease significantly amid costs
Russian imports of stainless steel decreased in February, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to 21,718 tonnes, down by 52.7% on-year and 37.5% lower compared to January, Kallanish notes.
Imports of stainless cold-rolled flat products were down 28.7% in February compared with January, hot-rolled flats were less by 48%, long products were down 49.3%, seamless pipe decreased 55.4% and welded pipe were down 25%. Intake of wire fell by 53.8% …
