Russia’s Aurus acquires former Toyota St. Petersburg plant
The former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg has been transferred to Russian automaker Aurus, says Russian industry and trade minister Denis Manturov.
In February, Manturov said that Aurus plans to start producing business-class cars together with a foreign partner at the former Toyota plant, with the first units expected by year-end (see Kallanish passim). A total of four models are expected to hit the production line, with sales to begin in 2025.
