Russian steel prices fall, consumption to plummet: sources
Prices of steel in Russia came close to the level of export parity in May, Russia’s Rusmet rating agency confirms to Kallanish.
“They [domestic prices] decreased due to the strengthening of the Russian rouble against the American dollar, a decrease in demand for metal and increased competition in the domestic market amid the closure of the EU market for Russian metallurgists due to sanctions,” the agency earlier told Vedomosti newspaper.
