Russian steel exports by rail fall in July
Russian mills decreased rail-bound exports of steel in July compared to the previous month, according to Russian Railways (RDZ) data.
Volumes transported by rail amounted to 1.59 million tonnes, down by 7.6% on-month, Kallanish notes.
To Europe, 507,300 tonnes of products were shipped in July compared to 450,000t in June, a surge of 12.7%. Russian steel exports to Turkey initiated by rail meanwhile amounted to 224,000t compared to 232,400t in June.
