Russian stainless steel consumption ramps up
Russia’s real consumption of stainless steel increased in January-September, according to national special steel association USSA.
It amounted to 372,310 tonnes, up by 5.8% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Nine-month consumption of stainless cold rolled flat steel increased 13.7%, of hot rolled flats by 12.4% and electric-welded pipe by 3.4%.
