Russian energy companies lambast higher steel prices
The Council of Energy Producers (EEC), which represents Russia’s largest energy companies, has expressed concern over a sudden 30-150% rise in steel prices, Kallanish notes.
According to the association, this has negatively affected operations at its member companies. EEC has asked Russia’s Ministry of Energy to hold a meeting with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop measures to stabilise prices for steel products.
