Government sees Russian carmakers’ utilisation dropping in 2020
Carmakers in Russia will reduce capacity utilisation in 2020 to 40-44% from over 50% last year, says Russian industry and trade minister Denis Manturov.
The minister notes that capacities available in the country are designed to produce 3 million vehicles per year. “Last year around 1.7 million cars were produced,” Manturov says. “This year, of course, it will be less. In 2019 a little more than half of the capacity was loaded.”
