Russian car output rebounds but still down on-year
Carmakers in Russia continued to reduce production in May due to low demand, show national statistical service Rosstat data.
About 53,000 passenger cars were produced last month, down by -54.4% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-May almost 406,000 cars were assembled, less by -37.2% on-year.
The production of trucks in the first five months of the year amounted to 44,100 units, down by -20.6% on-year and -34.3% compared to April.
