Russia supports Turkey's 2017 hot-rolled flats imports rise
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports rose 3.5% to 5.99 million tonnes in 2017 on a growth in shipments from its main supplier Russia, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The overall average value/tonne of last year's imports went up to $597/t from $466/t a year earlier, according to calculations made using TUIK data.
