Russia stainless imports rise 26% in Jan-Sep
Russian stainless steel imports increased by 26.4% on-year to 21.1 million tonnes in the nine months through September.
Imports of stainless steel flat products rose by 29.2% to 16.4mt, according to Russian stainless association Spetsstal data obtained by Kallanish.
Stainless steel longs imports increased by 21.3% to 1.9mt, wire by 21.9% to 51 000t, welded tubes by 15.4% to 1mt, fittings/flanges by 30% to 321,000t and slabs/ingots by 7.6% to 137,000t.
