Russia ramps up stainless steel production in February
Russia’s production of stainless steel increased in January and February, show national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish.
Output amounted to 17,200 tonnes in February, up 4.6% compared to January and 14.3% more than in February 2019. Two-month volume increased 11.3% on-year.
In full-year 2019 Russia’s real consumption of stainless steel increased to 463,500t, up 6.3% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
