Russian stainless steel imports fall on-month in August
Russia saw increased stainless steel imports from China and Taiwan in August 2016, Kallanish learns from data published by the country’s stainless steel development association, Spetsstal.
In August total imports of stainless steel products into the country increased by 2.6% to 26,171 tonnes. The total value of imports rose by 0.5% to $65.23 million, but the average value/tonne of imported product decreased from that in July by -0.2% to $2,492/tonne.
