Russia drives Turkey's May CR flats imports rise
Turkish cold rolled (CR) flat steel imports increased 16% year-on-year to 106,224 tonnes in May, mainly on the back of a rise in intake from Russia. The total average value of these imports decreased to $762/tonne from $997/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Compared to April, however, CR flats imports declined -8.5% on-year in May.
