Russia drives Turkey's March CR flats imports growth
Turkey's cold rolled flat steel imports increased 20.1% year-on-year to 113,788 tonnes in March, driven by a growth in intake from Russia. The total average value of these imports decreased to $699/tonne from $1,042/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Compared to February, Turkish CR flats imports were up 38.4%. The February imports were boosted by increased intake from Ukraine.
