Russia drives Turkey’s November HR flats imports surge
Turkey’s hot rolled (HR) flats imports rose again in November, marking a 77.8% year-on-year growth to 554,107t tonnes, as supplies from Russia surged. The average value/tonne of these imports decreased to $463/tonne from $707/t a year ago, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
