Russia decreases steel, pipe output in January

Russia decreased steel production in January, according to data from domestic analytical company Chermet. The country’s steelmakers produced 6.1 million tonnes of crude steel, down 0.6% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. The volume of rolled products amounted to 5.2mt, which is flat compared to January 2023.
