Russia’s April stainless production falls as imports grow
Russia’s production of stainless steel decreased in April, show national statistical service Rosstat data monitored by Kallanish.
Output amounted to 16,000 tonnes, down by -16,9% on-year and -7.2% on-month. However, production of stainless steel in January-April increased by 7.5% on-year.
Russian stainless imports, however, amounted to 36,640t in April, up by 10.1% on-month and 24% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
