Russia decreases stainless steel imports in March
Russia decreased imports of stainless steel in March, according to the country's Special Steel association, USSA.
Imports amounted to 33,819 tonnes, down -7.4% on-month, Kallanish notes. In February they were 36,540t, up 23.3% on-month and up 50.9% on-year (see Kallanish passim). Stainless steel imports in January-February reached 66,164t.
In March alone imports of stainless cold rolled flat products increased by 1%. But imports of long products decrease…
