Ruifeng Steel halts iron output on BF failure
China Tangshan's Ruifeng Iron & Steel’s blast furnace suffered a fire on Monday, affecting output of hot metal and a downstream coil mill, Kallanish notes.
A fire began at Ruifeng Steel's blast furnace caused by a leak in the roof seal. The volume of the blast furnace is 2,000 cubic meters, with a design capacity of 1.7 million tonnes/year.
