Rostec begins new oil & gas steel production
Russia’s Rostec has started production of a new product, low-alloy steel for oil and gas applications in the Arctic climate, Kallanish notes. The alloy is specially designed for underwater use and can withstand extreme temperature loads.
Production is taking place at Rostec’s Motovilikhinskie steel plant, with the first batch already shipped to the customer, Gazprom.
