Rongxin Steel discloses new blast furnace upgrade plan
Hebei Rongxin Iron & Steel released its new blast furnace upgrade plan this week after abandoning the construction of a 1,500 cubic-metre BF in November last year, according to an announcement from the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province.
The whole project will be constructed in two phases, with one 1,350 and one 1,700 cum BF. The two BFs have 1.22 million and 1.46mn tonnes/year of hot metal capacity, respectively, Kallanish notes.…
