Romania demand boosts Turkey's March wire rod exports
Turkey increased wire rod exports 38% on-year in March to 146,978 tonnes, also surging 57% from February, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Their average price rose to $798/tonne versus $644/t in March 2021, but inched down from $799/t in February.
Round rod below 14mm diameter comprised 78,440t of March exports, with the EU taking the largest share. The Netherlands, Romania and Italy took in 24,749t, 13,727t and 11,41…
