Rizhao Zhufu commissions blast furnace
China’s Rizhao Zhufu Industry Company has commissioned its No.3 blast furnace, built by the Magang Design and Research Institute, Kallanish notes.
The new blast furnace has 700,000 tonnes/year iron capacity and uses a pre-heated top loading system. Its slag filtering system can realise 95% granular slag, allowing it to be recycled, and it also has a fully enclosed dust removal system that improves the operating environment.
