China's Rizhao city aims to raise steel capacity
Rizhao city in China’s Shandong province plans to develop its local steel capacity to 22.5 million tonnes/year by the end of 2021, according to the local government steel industry development scheme. In 2016 Rizhao produced 13.9 million tonnes of crude steel and 16.7mt of steel products, among which 13.4mt of steel product output was from the privately-owned Rizhao Iron & Steel.
