Rio Tinto hits China iron ore milestone
Global miner Rio Tinto has shipped 4 billion tonnes of iron ore from the Pilbara in Western Australia to China, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a statement that the shipment was loaded at Dampier Port on 19 July, bound for steel producer China Baowu Steel.
