Rio Tinto iron ore shipments rise in Q2

Global miner Rio Tinto has reported higher iron ore shipments in the second quarter despite lower production, Kallanish notes.  The firm says its iron ore shipments of 80.3 million tonnes (Rio Tinto share 66.2mt) for the second quarter were 2% higher than Q2 2023, with the drawdown of port stocks.
