Rio snubs Glencore again
Rio Tinto confirmed again on Monday that the Yancoal bid for its Coal & Allied Industries subsidiary was the favoured bid. Glencore had made a second bid after being initially rejected, but Yancoal has again come back with an offer to beat away the competition ahead of Rio’s AGM in London on Tuesday, Kallanish notes.
