Reduced shipments, higher costs hamper USSK earnings
US Steel Kosice (USSK)’s shipments declined -6% on-year in the first quarter to 1.06 million net tons. Raw steel production fell -10% to 1.16mnt, with capacity utilisation dropping 11 percentage points to 94%.
