Red October increases steel production in May
Production at Russia’s Red October (Krasny Oktyabr) increased in May, the company says.
It amounted to 26,000 tonnes, up by 32% on-year and 6% compared to April, Kallanish notes.
The Volgograd-based steelmaker produced in May 2,200t of stainless steel, up by 11% on-month, and 3,200t of flat products of nickel and chromium bearing steel grades, up by 14% on-month.
