Rebar futures stall as HRC hits new record
Chinese rebar futures have continued to fluctuate, and ended down slightly on Tuesday. Hot rolled coil futures however kept steady growth and hit a record high for the third consecutive trading day, Kallanish notes.
On 30 March on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, May 2021 rebar futures closed CNY 7/tonne lower than Monday at CNY 4,964/t ($756/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 45/t at CNY 5,372/t.
