Turkeys rebar exports recover in July, but price plunges
Turkish rebar exports increased by 1.8% year-on-year to 589,920 tonnes in July as scrap prices declined in the first half of the month. The average price of these exports, however, dropped by $136/tonne to $423/t fob, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The positive figure follows a -0.2% y-o-y fall in June to 527,722t and a -33.4% plunge in May to 461,237t, the lowest tonnage since the beginning of 2015.…
