GCC mills ramp up rebar export deals
Gulf Cooperation Council integrated mills ramped up their rebar exports in the last week of September, Kallanish notes.
One mill concluded a rebar deal for 50,000 tonnes for November/December shipment at $556-560/tonne fob GCC actual weight, equating to $540-543.7/t fob theoretical weight. This is destined for a Far Eastern country or for countries subject to buyer's option. Freight is calculated at $35/t from the GCC to Singapore/Hong Kong.
