Rebar and scrap weaken in Taiwan

The Taiwanese domestic scrap and rebar markets have weakened in the past week, Kallanish notes. Leading Taiwanese EAF mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel lowered its domestic scrap purchase prices by TWD 300/tonne ($10/t) last Saturday. Thereafter, the company decreased its domestic rebar prices by TWD 400/t on Monday.
