Qujing Phoenix to add seamless pipe mills
Yunnan Qujing Steel Group’s Phoenix Steel is preparing to add two mills for the production of seamless steel pipe, and has obtained energy consumption approvals from provincial authorities for the two separate projects.
The two mills will add 500,000 tonnes/year of 219 seamless pipe capacity and 100,000 t/y of CKJ50 seamless pipe capacity respectively, Kallanish notes. Further details are yet to be announced.
