Qujing Qilin to upgrade coke ovens

Yunnan Qujing Qilin Coal Chemical, a subsidiary of Qujing Yue Steel, plans to upgrade its coke ovens from this October, and commission in October 2026, Kallanish notes. Qujing Qilin will build two 60-oven coke batteries with 6.25-metre carbonization chambers of 1.4 million tonnes/year capacity to replace two 50-oven coke batteries with 4.3m cambers and two 63-oven coke batteries with 4.3m chambers.
