Qarmet eyes increased production after converter overhaul
The Qarmet steelworks in Kazakhstan, formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau, has stopped converter No.1 for major repairs, Kallanish notes. The work is planned to be completed in 90 days.
During the shutdown, the converter housing will be replaced, as well as other necessary repairs. This will ensure uninterrupted and efficient operation of the unit in the future, the enterprise claims.
