Project discount turns Saudi rebar market sentiment sluggish
Saudi Arabia's rebar market has started the year with a discount announcement by the benchmark mill.
The benchmark mill offered a project discount of SAR 150/tonne ($40) deducted from the January rebar price of SAR 2,650/t delivered within the country, given for quantities exceeding a certain quota level – a so-called eligibility percentage. The eligibility percentage varies on customer classification.
