Production curbs boost Chinese stainless steel prices

Chinese stainless steel prices have kept surging as energy consumption control measures are suppressing production in major provinces such as Jiangsu, Shandong and Guangxi. Two stainless steelmakers in Jiangsu are facing production cuts by 30-50%, and one has also had to reduce output due to a ferronickel shortage.
